Medeama Sporting Club president, Moses Parker has detailed the reason behind the sacking of Ignatius Osei-Fosu as the club’s head coach.
Osei-Fosu was sacked by the Tarkwa-based club on Wednesday after just three league games in charge of the club.
The young gaffer was brought in by Medeama ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League after parting ways with Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong at the end of last season.
However after a winless run in their opening three games, the Yellow and Mauve side ended their relationship with Osei-Fosu, and Parker has revealed the reason behind the decision to axe the former Techiman Eleven Wonders coach.
“Medeama sacked Ignatius Osei Fosu because we were not happy with his performance and as at now Medeama has paid all the money due him,” he said in an interview with Light FM.
“And those leaving the club is a blessing in disguise. Medeama is moving into a new direction.”
The club gained just two points under the tutelage of Osei-Fosu.
After suffering a heavy defeat on the opening day to Bechem United, Medeama could only register stalemates against Bibiani Goldstars and Eleven Wonders.
