The General Manager of Asante Kotoko says the club will announce a new coach by Wednesday.
Kotoko asked head coach Mas’ud Didi Dramani to proceed on leave on Tuesday after an unimpressive run in these early days of the First Capital Plus Premier league.
About 10 coaches have sent their CVs to the team's management, according to Samuel Opoku Nti. It has emerged that ex-Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan is the favourite for the hot seat.
Speaking on the popular afternoon show “Fire for Fire” on Asempa FM, Opoku Nti has assured the teeming Kotoko faithfuls to expect a new coach by the middle of next week.
"I want to assure all the Kotoko fans that by Tuesday or Wednesday they will see their new coach. I am confident the future is bright for Kotoko because everything possible is being done to ensure that the club returns to winning ways."
"We are working according to plan and soon the evidence will be there for all to see."
He asked the Fabulous faithful to stay calm because the management will do all it can to take decisions in the best interest of the club.
Kotoko are 10th in the league, their worst start after seven matches in seven years.
