Award winning Gospel musician, Gifty Ardoye, popularly known as 'Empress Gifty' has said that she does not discriminate when it comes to which musicians she associates with.
The Gospel artiste said this in response to backlash against her, that has resulted from her performance at the BHIM concert held on Tuesday. According to her, she is not in the position to judge anyone.
“I am for all, I don’t do discrimination, I don’t do judgmental. I love everybody who does music and that is what I know…” Stonebwoy is someone that I have known from scratch. He didn’t even have any song out there and I know what God has done for him and sometimes when you believe in people’s beginning, I think it’s better. I believe in him. I believe in his ministry, what he is doing is a ministry and I love him so much. So when I was called, I was so happy.”
She explained further that her presence at the concert was an opportunity to minister to the patrons.
“It was an opportunity for me to come on the stage and minister to people for them to know Christ so that is why I came. I don’t really bother what people say.”
Touching on her outfit for the evening, 'Empress Gifty' explained that she wanted to support the BHIM initiative so she went in for that look instead of an earlier planned outfit.
“When you love somebody, you love everything about the person. I had a costume tonight but I realized that the thing is about BHIM so why don’t I go to the shop myself and then buy something and also support him. So I went there to buy and also support what he is doing”
In addition to this, the Gospel artiste said, 2021 has been a good year.
“2021, God has been good to me. I had 2 singles and I have released a new one that is, “3y3 woaa” and I think 2021, I got most awards. I travelled, I went for tours, the cash also came and the connections also came, and I thank God for what he has done for me in 2021. He has been good to my ministry.”
The BHIM Nation Concert is an annual event headlined by Burniton Music Group’s Stonebwoy which brings together other artistes to entertain Ghanaians.
