Patricia Asiedu, widely known as Nana Agradaa has said she has not received any writ of summons from gospel musician Empress Gifty.
This comes after a writ of summons by Empress Gifty demanding GH₵20 million in damages from Nana Agradaa over defamation, surfaced online on May 21, 2025.

The writ further indicates that “in their natural and ordinary meaning, the words complained of were understood to mean that:
a) The Plaintiff is promiscuous and a prostitute.
b) The Plaintiff is a zoophile who flirts with dogs to earn her money to cater for her husband.
c) The Plaintiff is an adulterous or an unchaste wife who has extramarital affairs with other men, and most of her paramours are pastors.
d) Pastors who invite the Plaintiff to their programs have sexual intercourse with her in their offices before the Plaintiff mounts the pulpit to sing.

She further indicates that the widespread effect of the Defendant's words on the Plaintiff is that she has become the subject of discussion on media outlets locally and internationally, and has affected her children, who are taunted and ridiculed by their mates in school.
The lawyers say as a result of Nana Agradaa’s actions, the credit and reputation of Empress Gifty, both personal and public, have been seriously damaged and have brought shame into public ridicule, scandal, odium and contempt.
They also highlight that the Plaintiff, who is a brand ambassador to numerous companies, as indicated, has suffered collateral damage. Consequently, Empress’s lawyers aver that her international programme slated for August 2025 has been affected due to the words uttered by Nana Agradaa about her.
Empress Gifty is demanding GH₵20 million in damages for reputational harm, emotional distress, and public ridicule.
Meanwhile, Nana Agradaa has told OPD in an interview on Adom FM that she is yet to receive a writ of summons from the gospel musician.
"When someone sues another person in court, the person being sued needs to be handed over the writ of summons. As I speak to you, nobody has served me any court letter, so I don't know the court summon you are talking about.
I have heard people talk about it but I don't work with hearsay, because no one has served me a court letter. If anybody has an issue with me, I stay at Weija in Accra. In law, you need to come serve me the writ of summons. Somebody can print out something and put it on social media for trends," she said.
She added that if Empress has the guts to serve her the writ of summons, she is welcome.
