Musician and actor Banky W, in a new interview, has opened up on some of his struggles in his early years as an artiste.
In an interview with the Visibility Lunch Hour, the ‘Heaven’ singer revealed he struggled with promiscuity and pornography.
He explained that despite his successes, he felt empty.
Banky W said that “it got to a stage where you feel you’re in bondage and so you’re just stuck in this place of feeling far from God, feeling separated from God. Feeling that I have made a little bit of money, but I’m still not happy.”
“There were things I was struggling with on a personal basis. Everything from promiscuity to pornography, real things that people struggled with on a personal basis,” he stated.
Although he was grateful for all the successes chalked as a musician, an actor and a businessman, Banky noted that he felt a “God-shaped” void.
The singer believes that this void exists inside every man and until one starts to start to fill that void with God, they’ll come up short regardless of what success they have or how happy they may seem in the eyes of the world.
“There is an emptiness you feel when you are disconnected from that source. It’s a purpose thing, not a pay thing. It’s a meaningful thing, not about money. That is why you see some of these billionaires pass away on their own account,” Banky added.
