Highlife musician and songwriter, Kofi Kinaata has disclosed why he has no album yet.

According to the Takoradi-based musician, his delay in releasing an album is that most songs on albums do not get the necessary attention they deserve.

He explained that "a song like ‘Thy Grace’ wouldn’t do well on an album because, in this Ghana that we are, people don’t have the attitude of listening to albums."

"They will just pick one danceable song, play it on air and make it popular and people will dance to it. They don’t even listen to the lyrics. Somebody will be dancing to a song for like 6 months and he doesn’t know what they are saying in there," he said on E Vibes.

"So those are the things that discourage us but I think people are talking about albums and they deserve one.”

The ‘Thy Grace’ hitmaker however told Becky that his debut album is currently in the works.

“I have a lot of songs, but this year, we should have an album. I am working on that. I just wanted to surprise them. I have a lot of songs that people need to listen to," he added.
