Social media users have condemned the Municipal Chief Executive for Sekondi-Takoradi, Abdul Mumin Issah, who allegedly drove dangerously and assaulted a Police officer.
The MCE was arrested on Thursday and appeared before the court on Friday. He has been charged on three counts of Assault of a public officer, Offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace and disturbing the peace in a public place contrary to Sections 205, 207 and 298, respectively, of the Criminal and Other Offences Act of 1960, Act 29.
Some Twitter users who have assessed the conversation between the MCE and the Police officer in question say Abdul Munim Issah acted inappropriately. They stressed that the unprintable words used should not have come from an "Honourable".
They believe that an apology from the MCE could have prevented the issue from escalating.
I usually don't support the police in cases like this, due to the corrupt manner in which they deal with people. But on this issue, the police officer to me, did his legitimate duty. The MCE tried to undermine the officer bcos he knows pple in high place within the police ranks.

Did the MCE take into consideration how the people of Enchi would feel, and how their name got into this fracas?

He really needs to apologise to the people of Enchi, coz his comments doesn't send the right signals and impressions about the town.
This movie can’t end ooooo he has come and issue a public apology ooo if @GhPoliceService let’s this go I won’t understand oooo this policeman was in uniform the MCE didn’t just insult the policeman he insulted the whole police institution.

The best thing the MCE could have done was to apologize

Others are of the view that the officer deliberately provoked the MCE as he, the officer, knew the event was being recorded. Some even suggest this was to sabotage the MCE.
From the audio, let’s all be fair. The Police Officer was just trying to make the MCE angry and lose control. We all have our breaking points!!!

First of all, who recorded what went on? Secondly don’t you think these police personnel’s were acting this way because they knew everything was been recorded? Do you think if the MCE knew they were recording he will say certain things? First of all why even record…sabotage

That’s very true but ask yourself was the MCE’s car the only car they stopped that night? It looks like sabotage. My problem is why was it recorded?
