Some women entrepreneurs in the Ashanti Region have advised prospective entrepreneurs to enhance their businesses by taking advantage of social media opportunities.
Founder of the Fabulous Woman Network, Ama Duncan, believes this can increase brand awareness and improve relations with other businesses.

She spoke with Patricia Bonsu on a special edition of Luv-In-The-Morning on Luv FM commemorating International Women’s Day.
“Information is so available this time. I have a nurse who sews my dresses. She learned the art of sewing from YouTube. The lady is now a full-blown designer, organizing fashion shows,” said Ama Duncan. “First, make a decision and empower yourself to start a business venture. Afterwards, you look for more information on it from the internet. Don’t forget to ask questions”.
She advised the youth to put a premium on mentee-mentor relationships.
“As you are being mentored, be willing to serve people. There are times the mentors will test you to see your seriousness. Go through all the tough times and learn from your mistakes. This is the time you can learn so easily,” she admonished.

Also on the show was Suzzy Ayekor Amponsah, CEO of Rosario Klassics Lingerie and Rosario Foods, who spoke on the importance of networking to offer possibilities for advancement and opportunities for personal improvement.
“Training sessions are one way to uplift yourself and be empowered. Before you leave the venue, you may have networked with many people. Lately, there have been a lot of business hubs and academia training entrepreneurs. Look for such institutions, learn and be ready to apply whatever you have been taught.
“Social media must be used productively. It's not just about the glamour and commenting. I learned a lot about business on various pages on social media. It's a good platform to learn, only if you're willing,” she advised.
As many women are seen as equally competent and hardworking, they say it is possible to achieve greatness with or without a man’s support.
