Ace Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame says that a star is someone who has made his talent useful and beneficial to a lot of people.
He made this known in an interview with Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz, after he was asked on who a star is.
The "Faithful" hit-maker said stars should not be seen as the ones who only perform on bigger stages, as there are other personalities in other fields of work, who are touching the lives of others through their works.
Even though he went on to acknowledge the fact that the likes of Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are stars since people have benefited from their music, he also appreciated people like Tsatsu-Tsikata whose diligence in the field of law has impacted the lives of many to be like him, so based on this a star to him is someone who has been able to let his talent and purpose affect and be beneficial to a lot of people.
..."We can all say Shatta Wale is a star because a number of people benefit from his creativity, Sarkodie is a star, Kojo Antwi is a star, and Daddy Lumba is a star but beyond the talent where talent is not only performable skills but all sorts of resources that are embedded in human beings. So we can have a surgeon who is a star because his services will be needed in places in the country. We can also confidently say that Tsatsu-Tsikata is a celebrity Lawyer, he is a star because in the Law field he stands out and a lot of people benefit from him, and in this case there can be stars from every field of work. So a star is just a person who has been able to let his talent and his purpose affect a lot of people and because their benefiting off that, he is shining in their lives and therefore he is a shining star," he said.
