After two years break, ACE Event Management has commenced its annual programme - the Water Africa and West Africa Building and Construction Exhibition and Seminar at the Accra International Conference Center.
The three day prestigious event has brought together expertise from all over the world to discuss and showcase products used in the water and construction space to help solve infrastructural challenges facing Ghana in the 21st Century.
Speaking to Joy Business at the opening of the event, Managing Director of ACE Events Management, Madam Nolan-Shaw, noted that challenges in the water and sanitation area are major issues that must be resolved.

"In Ghana like most of the world issues of water and construction is the most important issues but especially water. Without water, we don’t have live and this programme just brings in expertise locally as well as from all over the world to come together and discuss the improvement for Ghana's future".
Providing some recommendations to help prevent flooding during the rainy season, Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, said her outfit will go all out to assist in flood control, but also admonished Ghanaians to keep the environment clean to ameliorate the effects of flooding.
“We must understand our decentralisation structures. If you are given a permit to build on top of a drain, it is wrong you don't have to build. The president has given instructions to pull them down. We have a problem of dumping rubbish into the rains. It must stop".

Cecilia Abena Dapaah further encouraged the youth in the water and sanitation space to take advantage of the exhibition since most of the exhibitors are foreigners who are looking for partners here in Ghana.
Over 70 companies from around the globe and the West African region are showcasing their technology in Water, Sanitation, Housing and Construction sector.
Running parallel to the exhibition is a stimulating two-day seminar programme including panel of experts' discussions on "Safe Drinking Water- Latest technologies, strategies and innovation" and " Innovations in Building and Construction- Addressing the Housing Deficit".
A CPD course/workshop will be held on the 10th of June,2022, on the topic "Paradigm Shifts in Urban Water Management: Innovative Technologies and Green Solution". It will be organised by world-renowned Professor Bob Andoh.
Most foreign exhibitors who spoke to Joy Business expressed their willingness to setup companies in Ghana.
The event is being held at the Accra International Conference Center and will end on the 10th of June, 2022.
