Residents and workers who ply the Coca-Cola Road at Spintex in Accra say they fear for their lives due to the bumpy nature of the road.
There have been reports of trucks carrying containers to various factories on the stretch overturning due to the destructive nature of the road.
Most pedestrians who always walk on the shoulders of the road to work escape by a whisker; however, calls on government to fix the road have fallen on deaf ears.

"It is as if we sign a death warrant working on this side of town. The trucks frequently overturn due to the bad nature of the road.
"We have complained several times, but nothing is done about the situation. Are the authorities waiting for a disaster before they get to work?" one of the workers quizzed.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited, which is worse hit, has resurfaced the road several times.
However, everything is washed off when it rains, causing trucks to fall off and posing a danger to life and property.
The residents are, therefore, appealing for proper construction of the road.

"The companies along the stretch of road within the surrounding enclave provide employment, so why should going to work be unsafe?" a resident wanted to know.
They warned there could be loss of lives and property if government does not turn its attention to the Coca-Cola road.
Checks have revealed that the issue has been raised severally with the Tema West Municipal Assembly and the Office of the Member of Parliament for the area, but the residents say "there is still no show”.
