The Ghana Chapter of the Business Network International, the world’s leading business referral organization, has been launched in Accra.
With over 292,920 Members in over 10,805 BNI Chapters worldwide, in 2021 alone, BNI members shared over 12.4 million valuable new client referrals and generated over US$19.4 billion in revenue.
In an interview with Joy Business following the launch of the BNI Ghana Chapter, the National Director for BNI, Bridge Adams said, the network is a member-focused business referral network that works at developing long-lasting relationships with like-minded business professionals, creating opportunities through referral marketing and grow members business skills.
The mission of BNI is to help BNI Members increase their business through a structured, positive and professional referral marketing program that enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with quality business professionals.
“We are a group of business owners who have come together with a singular mission to help each other grow through consistent, personal business with each other. We believe in a philosophy called givers gain, and givers gain simply means if I give you a business, you are more likely to give me a business so it's like an old adage of what goes around, comes around,” Mr. Adams said.
In business, the lifetime value of a referred customer is 25 percent higher than that of other customers. For the past 10 months, in Ghana, among the 22 members, we have had about 58 referrals passed amongst us. We've done business, over GHc 2.1 million.
“In September last year, I was given the opportunity to lead Ghana by getting the franchise and over the past 10 months we've been working together with young entrepreneurs and I'm happy to say that today 20 of those entrepreneurs have come together for the first time,” The National Director mentioned.
“BNI is built on a set of guiding principles which form the foundation on which Members interact, conduct themselves and fulfil their goals. At BNI, we're Changing the Way the World Does Business.
“Building strong relationships creates an environment of trust and support that yields happiness, opportunity and meaning. As a member, your value grows as you develop your knowledge and skills,” Mr. Adams said.
Many BNI Chapters are currently meeting using BNI Online, a powerful and convenient platform that enables Members to continue sharing new client referrals. BNI Members are actively supported by regional, national, and global BNI staff that provide the training, structure and technology needed for the continued success of BNI Members.
BNI requires that BNI Chapters review and select persons for membership in all job classifications based on qualifications without regard to race, color, gender, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, age or disability.
