Former Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, has urged Ghanaians to be patient with the current Black Stars team following their disappointing World Cup elimination.
Ghana's failure to defeat Uruguay in the last group H match at the Janoub Stadium Al Walkrah in Qatar resulted in their exit from the tournament.
The team languished at the bottom of Group H, having picked up three points from the three matches.
Addo asserts that with time and patience, the "young" team can prevail in subsequent competitions.
"I said we all have to change our mentality and support a little bit more especially for a young team like this which can surely win the AFCON but sometimes things take time to integrate, to develop." The 47-year-old told the media.
"I would like you to let them work in peace, grow in peace and develop in peace." He admonished.
Addo stepped down as Ghana coach and will return to Bundesliga side Dortmund to continue his talent coach role.
Up next for the Black Stars is to qualify for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
