The Azumah Nelson Youth Resource Center in Kaneshie, has degenerated into a wild bush that has now become a breeding ground for reptiles.
The project, the construction of which started in 2018 and was set to be completed in just 9 months, has been abandoned since October 2020, when the work was projected at 90% complete, according to the Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif.
But failure to disburse monies to the contractor resulted in the latter abandoning the project, which is now boarded by walls of weeds.
The project is being undertaken by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and funded by the National Youth Authority.
