The SABC will not be showing the Under-17 African Youth Championship Final featuring South Africa on the weekend.
Amajimbos will meet either Mali or Guinea on Sunday after beating Nigeria 1-0 in the last-four in Niamey, Niger yesterday.
Molefi Ntseki's charges also made history by qualifying for the U-17 World Cup through their strong showing at the CAF tournament.
However, SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago tells KickOff.com that the national broadcaster do not have the rights to show the cup decider.
“We will not be showing the Final because in tournaments like these you need to secure the rights for the tournament not just one match,” Kganyago says.
“We can’t just get the Final, because we are not dealing with a club competition.”
Meanwhile, the SABC's rights to broadcast Bafana Bafana's games will expire at the end of April with Siyaya TV said to be taking over the coverage.
Kganyago says the SABC are yet to agree on a new contract with SAFA.
“At the moment we are still the holders of the Bafana Bafana rights. But going forward we have yet to enter into an agreement with SAFA.”
