Aduana FC have pulled the breaks on their threat to boycott the Ghana Premier League after the Ghana FA placed a temporary ban on their home ground.
The Nana Agyemang Badu I Park was banned after fans of the Aduana attacked players and staff of Tamale City. The incident happened after their premier league clash which Aduana won by one-nil.
After the GFA's ban, PRO of the club, Evans Oppong indicated they were exploring the opportunity to boycott the league - amongst others, despite sitting three points clear at the top.
However, within the board of the club there is a feeling they 'have come too far' to give it all up.
Collins Atta Poku is a board member of the club, and revealed to JoySports their PRO was a little hotheaded.
"It was one of those spur of the moment comments" Atta Poku stated. "Aduana is fully committed to playing in the ongoing Premier League. We have come too far to say we are going to boycott the league.
"We are not so happy with the developments and the fact we have been banned, but football is played with laws. And because of the very despicable actions that happened over the weekend, is the reason we are [now going to] play our games outside our home comfort of Dormaa Ahenkro," he said to JoySports.
He also apologised for the attacks and vandalism visited on Tamale City, who have suggested they are dissatisfied with Aduana's sanction after threatening a reprisal.
