Maxwell Investments Group (MIG) with support from the Zongo and Inner-Cities Development (ZICDS) is embarking on an initiative to address accommodation challenges in Ghana.
The initiative dubbed "Maxwell Homes" is in line with government's efforts to address affordable accommodation.
Giving the keynote address at the MIG Business Forum, was the Presidential Coordinator for ZICDS, Ben Abdallah Banda, who indicated that the company is in an ongoing dialogue with stakeholders at home and abroad to find the best model that fits.
"We want to discuss creating the best project execution plan that offers rentals to organisations and individuals in the public and private sectors. Our innovative working model allows individuals to pay rent monthly from the onset, while the project takes on the 1-2 years’ down payment on their behalf after applicants pass due diligence," Mr. Banda said.
"This approach empowers community stakeholders, especially our up-and-coming youth, to refocus their time and energy on their employment, self-empowerment, and giving back by contributing to members of society. By working together, we can create lasting change for our communities, making housing more accessible to those who need it most," he added.
The second edition of the MIG Business Forum will focus on the theme Scaling Entrepreneurial Success through Collaboration and Sustainability. It is schedule to take place at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on August 7, 2023.
The next edition will focus on building upon the success of the first edition and emphasising the importance of collaboration and sustainability in entrepreneurship.
The theme reflects the commitment of Maxwell Investments Group and the Zongo & Inner Cities Development Secretariat (ZICDS) to fostering a supportive ecosystem that empowers the current and the next generation of entrepreneurs to create lasting change and drive economic growth.
By highlighting the need for cooperative efforts and sustainable practices, the MIG Business Forum aims to encourage entrepreneurs to work together, share resources, and embrace eco-friendly business models for the benefit of the entire community.
