The African Institute of Sanitation and Waste Management is partnering with the Maxwell Investments Group to build capacity of logistics and supply chain managers on new trends in the industry.
The partnership seeks to promote sustainable business growth and through knowledge sharing and capacity building.
Speaking at the first training programme on supply chain, Head of Corporate Affairs at the Jospong Group, Sophia Kudjordji, highlighted the need for businesses to enhance their knowledge on modern trends of operation.
“We are doing this as part of a business model to ensure that stakeholders in the eco-system benefit from some form of capacity building and new knowledge to advance their operations".
"Business trends are changing all the time and we have to move away from the old ways of doing things so we decided to partner with the Maxwell Investments Group to support stakeholders in various forms of training programmes” she noted.

Procurement and logistics management are essential for the efficient operation of any organisation, hence the short course on Procurement & Logistics Management is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of procurement and logistics.
According to the partners, this is the first cohort of such trainings earmarked to build capacity of organisations to support economic growth.
Head of Sales and Marketing at the African Institute of Sanitation and Waste Management, Faiza Rahman told Joy Business that this is part of a corporate sustainability project to make some impact in the society.
Chief Executive for the Maxwell Investments Group, Dr. Maxwell Ampong, said the course is design for industry leaders in the business Eco system.
“The Maxwell Investments Group believes in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals on Education and the need to enhance the skills of the people in our business circles. This is just the beginning of many skills development and capacity building programmes to be organised in partnership with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the Jospong Group".
"We got participants from various sectors of the economy with diverse backgrounds across the country for this training programme aimed at promoting the United Nations goals on education” he opined.
All participants were awarded certificates from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as a partner to the initiative.
