The 6th edition of the HR Focus Awards was launched on 12th May 2023 at an HR Interactive Event, organised by HR Focus at the LOC Events Centre, Adabraka.
The HR Interactive event, which brought together over 200 virtual and physical participants to discuss the theme: “Building Resilience in the Workplace”, was held as a prelude to the annual HR Focus Conference and Awards 2023, happening in September this year.
The HR Focus Awards was launched by Dr. Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng; HR Focus’ first ever “HR Practitioner of the Year” and the Advisor to the CEO- Volta River Authority. In her address, she shared her career journey with participants and encouraged all HR Practitoners to vie for awards.
She was then joined by distinguished HR Practitioners in the persons of: James Laar, Managing Director; L’AINE HR, Georgina Bartels; Regional Manager – Organizational Effectiveness – Newmont Africa; Hope Cornel Yibor, People Development Lead, Olam Agri; and Barbara Bram Annor, People Business Partner – Corporate & Investment Banking; ABSA Bank Ghana Ltd.
Dr. Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng called the HR Focus Awards, “a prestigious platform that every HR practitioner should be involved with.” She went on to endorse the Awards scheme that has been running biennially for the past ten years, saying it spurred her on, in her career growth.
The HR Focus Awards 2023 will feature various categories that span across different aspects of human resources, including Employee Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Diversity and Inclusion, HR Technology, and more.
Additionally, there are awards for “Best HR Management” across industries such as Agriculture, Power, Banking & Finance, Media & Advertising, and so many more. Nominations are now open, and individuals and organizations can vie for awards by visiting www.hrfocusawards.com.
A distinguished panel of industry experts and HR thought leaders have been tasked to evaluate the nominations and select the finalists and winners.
The judging process will be rigorous and impartial, ensuring that the most deserving individuals and organizations receive recognition for their exceptional work.
The HR Focus Awards 2023 winners will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on Friday, 29th September 2023 as part of the HR Focus Conference.
This year’s HR Focus Conference & Awards will include the Vodafone HR Forum, Exhibitions and the HR Focus Awards.
The awards ceremony will serve as a grand finale to celebrate the accomplishments of the winners and showcase the remarkable advancements in the HR industry.
