Government has denied suggestions it has re-introduced the Ministry for Public Sector Reforms as part of World Bank conditions for loans.
The ministry was one of the first to be scrapped by the Mills administration on assuming office in January.
Now government is said to be in a dilemma as its major international financier demands it re-introduces the ministry.
But deputy Information Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa told Joy News on Monday, government refuses to play to the dictates of the World Bank on the matter.
It has instead given Minister of State at the Presidency - PNC MP for Bulsa South Alhaji Alhasan Azong oversight responsibility for that sector reform.
Mr. Ablakwa has also justified plans to put a freeze on public sector jobs for the next two years to enable government access a loan of $300 million from the World Bank.
