Egypt's Mohammed Salah continued his Italian renaissance since his move from Chelsea with another good show in a 2-0 Europa League victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.
Salah, 22, sealed the win after 71 minutes after capitalizing on a defensive blunder to score from close range.
Indeed, the player could've added another goal moments earlier had it not been for the enterprising Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
"Salah is a player who, even if he has lulls in the game, is devastating in the final 40-50 metres," Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella said after the game.
Chelsea own the player but barely utilized his services while in England, and since reaching Italy last month he has scored three goals in five games.
Last year, Chelsea confirmed the signing of the then Basel wideman on a five-and-a-half year contract.
The Pharaoh arrived at the Stamford Bridge having scored against the Blues twice that season, netting in both of his former side's Champions League victories over Jose Mourinho's men.
Mourinho has always had good words about the player, but Salah got tired of hearing them and quickly took his chance when the Viola came calling for a loan.
Will the player opt to stay in Italy? And will Jose regret it later?
