Glitz Africa’s flagship women's program dubbed, 'Female CEOs Summit' has been held at the Mariot Hotel in Accra with full participation of high profile women who occupy executive positions in Ghana's corporate space.
Under the theme: Resetting the Narrative, Ushering in a new era of influence, the Summit provided the female CEOs and executives the opportunity to exchange knowledge and successful tactics while creating deep connections and motivation that seeks to empower future generation of women leaders.
The annual programme, which is devoted to the elevation of women in leadership roles is Glitz Africa’s major advocacy for diversity and inclusion of women in leadership roles.
The event featured top women such as Ama Sarpong Bawuah (Board Chair, Access Bank Plc), Mrs Freda Yahan Duplan (Board Chair, Zenith Bank), Abena Amoah (Managing Director, Ghana Stock Exchange), H. E. Grace Jeanet Mason, South African High Commission to Ghana, Pearl Nkrumah (Executive Director, Access Bank Plc), and Edem Knight Tay (Programmes Manager, JOY FM) who moderated the programme.
Speaking at the programme, the Managing Director of Ghana Stock Exchange, Madam Abena Amoah called on the government and all other relevant stakeholders to promulgate deliberate policies that protect, support and empower women to be at their best.
She said the promulgation of deliberate policies will make a difference in gender discrimination and promote equal opportunities for all.
Madam Abena Amoah however, advocated for men or husbands to be granted a 3-month leave to support their wives during maternity leave.
