Ghana’s Ambassador to France, Anna Bossman has reiterated the need for more capacity building for Ghanaian journalists to fully grasp the ever-changing nature of their profession with regard to the issues of diplomacy and international relations.
This, she says will help them live up to the billing as the fourth estate of the realm.
She added that capacity building will also help journalists appreciate increasingly complex economic and social development issues, shape their work to push conversations on issues relating to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Anna Bossman made the comments when Ghanaian journalist and Dean of the Foreign Affairs Press Corps, Harriet Nartey paid a courtesy call on her after being part of a small number of African journalists who had the opportunity to attend the New Global Financing Pact Summit in France.
It was organised by the French government and led by its President, Emmanuel Macron. The event, which had world leaders present also had President Akufo-Addo in attendance.
Anna Bossman shared deep insight on the summit which brought together Heads of State, governments, Civil Society Organizations, and many others seeking to put into motion a new global financing architecture beyond the Bretton Woods system that concurrently addresses climate change, biodiversity, and development challenges, and help all countries attain the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Mission in Paris is also accredited to Portugal, UNESCO, OECD and La Francophonie championing Ghana’s national interest in the host countries and organisations.
