Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton, believes his team showed a good level of performance against the Central African Republic.
The Black Stars had to labour to secure a 2-1 comeback win over ‘The Wild Beast‘ at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday.
The win means Ghana has booked a spot at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Ivory Coast next January.
Many fans are still unimpressed with the style of football under the former Brighton boss, but he believes there were improvements against the Central African Republic.
“I think we showed a good level today. In the end, we could have been more comfortable," Hughton said at the post-match press conference.
However, he admits, “We could have played better in the first half but sometimes, you have to wait for the game to open up.”
The Black Stars now have a friendly game against Liberia on Tuesday, September 12 before the end of the international break.
