Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle has hailed her side as one of the top 10 countries in Africa following their win over Rwanda at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana sealed a 5-0 victory over Rwanda at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday to seal a place in the next round of qualifiers for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
The result in Accra summed up a 12-0 aggregate performance having won 7-0 in Kigali the week before.
The performance at the Accra Sports Stadium has gained public attention with the public lauding the team's play under the Swiss coach.
Huuptle believes the Queens are on par with the top 5 or 10 countries in Africa at the moment.
"I think we are a top 10 or a top 5 team in Africa, first of all," she said at the end of the game.
"Of course, we have to welcome the win against Rwanda, in my observation I think the squad are competing at the highest level. It was a high-level game against Rwanda, and of course, we have to start analysing our future opponents, we know very well of that.
"I am very convinced that we are competitive and confident that we will qualify for the Women’s African Cup of Nations and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games."
Alice Kusi scored a hattrick for Ghana at Accra Sports Stadium in the first half before Evelyn Badu added her name to the scoresheet before the break.
Stella Nyamekye, who has been a part of the team in recent times after passing through the junior ranks scored the only goal of the second half.
Ghana will now face Namibia in the last round of the qualifiers in a two-legged game with the winner sealing a spot at the continental showpiece.
