Ghana international Yaw Yeboah finished the MLS playoffs as a champion in the Eastern Conference following Columbus Crew's win over FC Cincinnati.
The left-footed player was on the pitch for 76 minutes as the Crew claimed a 3-2 victory after extra time in the final in the early hours of Sunday.
Cincinnati took the lead after 14 minutes at the TQL Stadium as Brandon Vazquez powered them into the lead before Luciano Acosta doubled the lead just before the break.
However, the Crew fought hard in the second period of the game and tied the game in the 86th minute, taking the encounter into extra time.
Christian Ramirez, who had been introduced from the bench, scored five minutes away from the end of the game to complete the comeback and put Crew on the winning end.
Yeboah was key to his side sealing a playoff berth as he contributed eight goals in the regular season from 26 starts.
