For Ayisi, music has always served as therapy, and his musical prowess is prominently displayed in his recently released Evergreen EP, where he continues to exhibit impeccable writing skills.
One song on the EP that is gradually catching listeners' attention is titled 'Sunkwa,' which means "Cry for Life." In one line of the song, Ayisi states, "Hiplife still lives on."

Hiplife is a music genre that originated in Ghana in the 90s, blending Ghanaian culture with American hip-hop. Renowned musicians like Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, Sarkodie, and Okyeame Kwame have all contributed to its success.
However, there has been a noticeable neglect of the genre in recent times, with many new and young musicians associating themselves with Ghanaian drill (Asakaa) rather than the hiplife tag. Some even go so far as to declare the genre dead.
As a fan of this historical genre, Ayisi has paid his dues by contributing to its progress with classic songs like "Accra" with Pure Akan, "Kawa Sane" with hiplife legend Prince Bright, and "Boa Me" with Obrafour, all featured on his album 'Unbroken.'
"Sunkwa" is the latest addition to this list, accompanied by a message of assurance that the hiplife genre continues to thrive.
