East Legon Football Academy (ELFA), located in the vibrant suburb of Accra, held its inaugural "Honours Night" at the prestigious Mensvic Grand Hotel.
The event served as a grand finale to the 2023 season, providing a platform to recognize and appreciate the outstanding efforts of its players.
A Dazzling Night of Recognition
The Red Carpet session marked the beginning of an unforgettable evening, graced by parents, academy management, students, and distinguished guests. Notably, Mr Agyemang Badu, former Ghana Blackstars player and Under 20 World Cup winner, added star power to the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Insights and Inspiration
The night unfolded with captivating activities, showcasing the academy's achievements, ongoing projects, expectations, and vision for the upcoming season. Visual presentations by parents, academy management, and Mr. Agyemang Badu shared key factors that contributed to the success, both on and off the field. The former Blackstar player imparted valuable insights, drawing from his own development journey.
Acknowledgements and Surprises
President Winston Yeboah Danso expressed gratitude to parents and players, providing updates on plans and projects for the 2024 season. A surprise video message from Thomas Partey, current Deputy Captain of the Black Stars of Ghana and Arsenal Player, added a special touch, congratulating the players for their dedication.
Top goal scorer Chief Kwasi Ayem, recognized for his remarkable performance in the Dana Cup Tournament in Denmark-Hjorring with 60 goals, was celebrated. ELFA graduate Brian Odeneho Yeboah-Adama, currently in Europe, bid farewell to his colleagues, sharing well wishes for their future endeavours.
Appreciating Contributions
The management of ELFA took the opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of coaches, namely Head Coach Robert McKenzie and Coach Michael Edmund Nii Nortey Tettey, towards player development.
Beyond Soccer Training: Mentoring and Social Responsibility
ELFA's commitment extends beyond soccer training, focusing on mentoring, establishing, and coaching players both physically and mentally for positive influence in their communities. A recent social responsibility initiative aimed at assisting the needy, less privileged, and orphans highlighted the academy's holistic approach.
