Manchester City boss, Manuel Pellegrini has been given the rest of the season to save his job at The Etihad, according to reports.
The English press is suggesting that the Chilean is on his last legs at the Etihad Stadium and may be given his marching orders if City go without a trophy this term.
Losses
Two losses in a row at the hands of Barcelona and Liverpool have compounded a subpar run of results for the reigning Premier League champions who are now five points behind league leaders Chelsea who have a game in hand.
City failed in the Capital One Cup and the FA Cup and now face a monumental test against Barcelona in a few weeks’ time in order to keep their European hopes alive.
If they lose to the Catalan giants then Pellegrini will need to mastermind a domestic triumph if he hopes to remain in the role at Eastlands next season.
