The contractor, Extreme Engineering Works, has returned to site to complete the construction of the new bridge over River Boin in the Western North Region after the collapse of the old bridge.
The government was constructing a new bridge over River Boin at Boinso in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region before the old bridge collapsed.
However, the contractor working on the new bridge, Extreme Engineering Works Limited, left the site due to financial issues.
Now, government has released funds for the contractor to mobilize their equipment and continue the project.
The Managing Director of Extreme Engineering Works Limited, Kumi Korsah confirmed to Adom News that, government has provided funds to continue the bridge.
He assured the residents and travelers in the area of their readiness to expedite work on the new bridge to ease movement for the people.
The NPP parliamentary candidate for Aowin constituency, Abanga Yakubu Fuseini, popularly known as NPP Abanga, who led the contractor to the site, said it was the effort of the Vice-President and the Roads Minister that got the contractor back to the site.
He added that, it is a sign of the government’s commitment to the people.
