The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awardee, who scored the highest mark in the world in A Level Information Technology, and was the Overall Best Student in Ghana for the 2023 exams series is currently studying at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in the USA.
King Solomon Ladzekpo, who is currently the President of AIESEC U.S. at Georgia Tech, has attributed his exceptional academic performance and remarkable achievement in getting into the top-ranked and respected University for an Aerospace Engineering major to his Christian faith and hard work.
In a post on his LinkedIn account in which he showcased his trophy and plaque, and acknowledged Cambridge International Education, the British Council and Merton International School, he started by stating that “Hard work pays off” and ended with “Thank you, to God Almighty, family, teachers and friends.”

After receiving the awards at a ceremony in Accra, Ghana he paid a series of courtesy calls showing his gratitude to key institutions and mentors and sharing the joy of his achievement with them.
The first stop was the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) after a Sunday worship service at Christ Temple East (CTE) to meet and present his trophy and plaque to Dr. Mensa Otabil and Bishop Eric Kwapong.
King also paid courtesy calls to Kwasi Twum, CEO of the Multimedia Group; Gideon Asare, CEO of Adansi Travels, and Doodo Nii Doodo, Country Director of the British Council Ghana, Cameroon, and Sierra Leone.
He and his family joined his Alma mater’s community at their 2024 Awards, Speech and Graduation Day, where he was privileged to share the podium with the CEO of Merton International School, Elizabeth Baitie, during her keynote address, to say thank you to the school’s management and staff.

His parents recall how their faith was tested but rewarded a year ago when they faced an initial delay in the processing of their ward’s travel documents which nearly led to him missing out on the start of classes for the 2023-24 academic year but for a series of miraculous 24 hour turnaround events.
King Solomon and his family acknowledge God for both his academic strides and the opening of the path to his childhood aspiration of becoming an Astronaut in future, through the opportunity to study at Georgia Tech which is ranked the No.1 public university for an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering in the USA.
