Ghana will make its first appearance at the 2024 Olympic Games on Tuesday, July 30, when swimmer Harry Stacey takes to the pool.
Harry will be competing in the men's 100m freestyle event in what will be his first-ever appearance at the Olympics.
The Ghanaian will be up for his test at 9:25 GMT where he will compete in Heat 4 of the swimming event. Harry, who is Ghana's best-ranked swimmer having excelled at the Africa Aquatics Swimming Championships in Angola, qualified as one of the country's wildcards.
His participation not only highlights his personal journey but also sets a precedent for Ghanaian athletes in the Olympics.
