Charles Ogunmilade, an Arsenal fan who racially abused Thomas Partey in a social media post, was fined £260 and banned for 3 years from attending all games.
The sanctions are punishment for posting a vile racist remark about Gunners midfielder Thomas Partey on April 21, 2023, during Arsenal's match against Southampton, which ended in a 3-3 draw.
Ogunmilade quickly took to social media to call Partey a "dirty black c–t" after the Ghana international fired a shot over the crossbar.
Ogunmilade's racist post sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for him to be held accountable for his actions.
The court in London was informed that the post on X was reported to the police, who visited Ogunmilade's home. He said the comment was intended to be a sarcastic quote among a group of friends.
"I am not a racist person," Ogunmilade said in court.
The court has banned him for three years from attending all games and fined Ogunmilade £260 for his offense, a punishment many feel is too lenient considering the severity of his actions.
