Hearts of Oak have dispelled rumours the club have sacked assistant coach Stephen Abugri.
Local media reports claimed Abugri was axed for his disloyalty to head coach Herbert Addo and incited a number of players to underperform.
Team Manger Sabhan Quaye openly accused Abugri of insubordination and undermining Addo.
But Corporate Affairs Manager Joe Addo explained the former King Faisal coach has only been re-assigned, not sacked.
"We all know the results we were getting wasn’t comforting, so we wanted to change things around to see if there will be an improvement but some people took offence to that and started reported some wrong things on the airwaves," he said.
"In the heat of the poor run, we decided our U17 coach Dauda Lutterodt swap places with assistant coach Stephen Abugri.
"That's just what we did. There were no fights or quarrels as reported. The simple fact is we moved coaches around."
Hearts of Oak are billed to play Olympique de Ngor of Senegal in the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
