The Senior staff Association of the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has rejected claims that they are opposed to the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ing. Mark Baah by the new government.
Reports had suggested internal unrest over his potential nomination, with some employees allegedly objecting to his appointment due to his perceived affiliation with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Critics argued that candidates from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) who equally qualified, should also be considered for the role.
However, Wisdom Kojo Adenyo, National Chairman of GRIDCo’s Senior Staff Association, has firmly denied these claims.
He stated that the leadership of GRIDCo’s Senior Staff Association is united and fully committed to supporting whichever individual President John Mahama appoints to lead the company.
Mr Adenyo emphasised that the staff are focused on their mandate and ready to collaborate with any CEO chosen by the government.
“GRIDCo’s staff groups and leadership are highly united in delivering our mandate to the good people of Ghana without hesitation, and are fully prepared to work with whoever President John Mahama appoints as the CEO of GRIDCo,” he affirmed.
