President John Mahama joined fellow heads of state at a high-level retreat on the African Union’s Institutional Reforms in Nairobi, Kenya.


The two-day event, held at Kenya’s State House, was hosted by President William Ruto.


During the retreat, Mr Mahama delivered a speech alongside other African leaders, engaging in detailed discussions on revitalising the African Union, enhancing peace and security, and addressing the continent’s many challenges.


In his remarks, President Mahama proposed several solutions to tackle Africa's pressing issues, including the empowerment of women and youth, as well as the importance of accountability in governance.
