The Government has reminded its social partners; employers and organised labour, of the need “to work expeditiously” to complete negotiations on the determination of the 2025 Minimum Wage.
The National Tripartite Committee, comprising the Government, Employers, and Organised Labour/Associations, commenced negotiations on the determination of the 2025 Minimum Wage on Monday, February 03, 2025.
Negotiations for base pay (public sector salaries) are to follow that of the minimum wage, according to a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP and Ag. Spokesperson to the President.
The statement said negations for both the minimum wage and the base pay for the 2025 financial year were expected to be completed by the end of April 2024, per the Public Financial Management (PFM) Act.
