The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartye George, has terminated Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo's appointment as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Director, Alexander Yaw Arphul, on Friday, February 14.
The ministry announced that Mr Osafo-Maafo's dismissal is effective immediately and directed him to handover his duties to the Acting Director-General of the NCA.
The statement further indicated that, in accordance with paragraph eight (8) of his appointment letter, he will receive three months' salary in lieu of notice.
The Ministry expressed appreciation for his service, stating "The Honorable Minister extends his gratitude for your service to the Nation."
