German-born Ghanaian winger, Josephine Afua Kyerewaa Bonsu, has expressed her excitement after being selected for the Black Queens squad for the first time.
Kyerewaa Bonsu, 25, was born in Germany to a Ghanaian father and a German mother. She plays for Carl Zeiss Jena Women's team in the German Women's Bundesliga.
"I'm beyond grateful for being selected to the squad…The ladies, the Queens, made it really easy on me. They took me like family," she said.
"I think we can really do a lot…I hope that I can bring my own style of playing football abroad."
She praised the team's energy and cohesion, saying, "I feel the energy here is crazy… Everybody is so hyped…I think with this team we can achieve something great."
Kyerewaa Bonsu's performances in the German Women's Bundesliga have made her a key player, and she is looking forward to fully integrating into the Black Queens squad.
