The family of the late Samuel Tei Mensah Nartey, popularly known as DJ Awana, on Tuesday, April 8, officially informed the Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) of his death.
The family was received by the management of MGL led by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ken Ansah and Senior Editor, Special Assignments, Christian Amoadu Ohene.
Also present was HR Business Partner, Philip Kojo Mensah, Adom FM Programmes Manager Adom FM, Joshua Tigo, Senior Editor, News and Current Affairs, Martha Crenstil, host of Adom FM Dwaso Nsem Chief Jerry Forson, Dwaso Nsem Producer, Shadrack Kofi and Head of Hitz FM's Programmes, Kwadwo Ampofo (DJ Black).

The family expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the delegation for their kind words during this difficult time.

Awana, a celebrated veteran DJ, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a short illness.

He was honoured by sympathizers in Ghana and around the world for his commitment to captivating his listeners.
