Over 60 students of the EKGS Culinary Institute have undergone career counselling and business training to boost their entrepreneurial skills.
The programme, organised by the EKGS Culinary Institute in conjunction with Yonyo Essentials, was held at the institute’s auditorium at Ordorkor Chabar in Accra.
The participants, selected from the first-semester batch of students, had the opportunity to boost their knowledge on various topics, including the acquisition of capital to start their own businesses after their training programme.

Speaking at the workshop, the Founder and CEO of the EKGS Culinary Institute, Mrs Efua Otuwa Goode Obeng Kyei, said the school believes in quality training and regularly revises its curricula to fit modern standards.
EKGS has been involved in similar programmes in the past, forming partnerships with institutions such as American culinary giant Wilton International to run the Wilton courses in Ghana.
She pledged to ensure world-class training programmes at EKGS to adequately prepare students to excel after graduation.
On her part, Chichi Yakubu, a resource person, encouraged students to embrace the lessons and build on the fundamentals to excel in the sophisticated job market.
Chichi Yakubu expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the school management for the partnership and promised her company’s commitment to help EKGS students.

She said EKGS Culinary Institute was number one on her list of partner institutions because of the outstanding performance and demonstrable excellence over the years.
She urged the students to take their training seriously to prepare them for the job market.

Chichi, a social media influencer and holder of a Global Markets Executive MBA certificate from Harvard University, further highlighted the importance of starting small and building up while taking advantage of social media services to boost businesses.
