Ghanaian musician and social media personality Archipalago has declared himself a prophet after correctly predicting King Promise’s victory as Artiste of the Year at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
The controversial entertainer made the claim during an interview with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime’s Changes show, citing his accurate forecast of Kumasi-based rapper Kweku Smoke’s rise to fame as further proof of his prophetic abilities.
"I'm a prophet because I see things and I have intuition. So whenever I say something, it comes to pass—that's why I was telling them about Kweku Smoke. I told him he's going to blow, and he's blown, and his [success] is outstanding," Archipalago stated.
The viral sensation also revealed his unorthodox entry to the awards ceremony, explaining that he attended without a ticket but was granted access through actor and Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture John Dumelo.
"Despite not having a ticket upon arrival, I was optimistic and foresaw that my team and I would enter the auditorium," he said, though he clarified that his eventual appearance on stage was unplanned.
Archipalago’s self-proclaimed prophetic status adds another layer to his growing reputation as one of Ghana’s most unpredictable online personalities.
“When I got there, I knew I would be permitted to enter because I’m Archipalago. But when I got there, it wasn’t like that. So I told my homeboy I went with that he should wait for me to get a ticket and enter the auditorium and see what will happen. That was even a prophecy I told my boy.”
