Joy Prime’s Big Chef Junior team paid a surprise visit to Serwaa Bonsu at her school.
The visit was to celebrate her for emerging as the star chef of the rice challenge in Episode 2 of the competition and for showcasing exceptional creativity in the kitchen.
The team, led by host Michelle Agyekum, visited Serwaa’s school, Graceham Academy, on Monday, May 20, 2025, with products from sponsors as a gift for her win.
At the school premises, a brief assembly was held where she received resounding applause from the entire student body for her remarkable achievement and for putting Graceham Academy in the spotlight.
After receiving her gift, Serwaa expressed her profound gratitude to the Big Chef Junior team for recognizing and honoring her efforts.

“I’m very grateful and happy. Thank you all and God bless you,” she said.
Serwaa, who took the rice challenge in a different direction, startled the judges with her creative dish: rice fufu and carrot light soup, which she called “Serwaa’s Special Rice Fufu with Carrot Light Soup.”

She called on all fans to keep voting for her to stay in the competition as the episodes unfold. You can dial 71160# to vote for your favourite contestant.
