The organisers of the Global Africa Summit (GAS) have announced that the pre-event launch of the Accra Edition will take place on Friday, 18 July 2025, at The Palms by Eagles Hotel in Accra.
The event will introduce the summit’s vision, strategic agenda, and partnerships ahead of the main gathering later in the year. Organisers say the summit is one of the most anticipated Pan-African events of 2025.
GAS is a Pan-African platform created to foster dialogue and cross-sector collaboration between Africa and its global Diaspora. It aims to promote inclusive growth and elevate African leadership globally through summits, roundtables, and investment showcases.
Each city-based edition is expected to highlight the unique strengths of the host while building a shared framework for continental development and Diaspora engagement.
Accra has been named one of four cities to host the Global Africa Summit series in 2025. The other locations include:
- Los Angeles, California: 9–10 October
- Washington, DC: 14–15 October at the Catholic University of America
- Toronto, Canada: 23 October at Toronto Metropolitan University
- Accra, Ghana: 11–12 December
The 18 July launch in Accra will also unveil summit content tracks, announce host partners, and showcase Ghana’s role as a growing hub for investment, tourism, and Pan-African affairs.
Among the dignitaries expected at the launch are Mrs Jane Reindorf-Osei, Founder and President of the Africa Investment Network; Ms Brianelle Cartwright, Commercial Attaché at the Bahamas Embassy Consular Annex, Washington, DC; Ms Lynreshay Johnson, Cultural Attaché at the same mission; Mr Clarence Wooten, Executive and Entrepreneur in Residence at X (formerly Google X); and Dr Michael K. Obeng, a renowned plastic surgeon and CEO of Miko Pharma. Government officials, diplomats, and figures from Ghana’s private sector and creative industries will also be in attendance.
“The Global Africa Summit is more than an event—it is a movement to ignite transcontinental collaboration and shape a future where Africa and its global Diaspora lead boldly in the areas of economic growth and innovation,” said Jane Reindorf-Osei, President of the Africa Investment Network and Summit Convener.
The summit is organised by the Africa Investment Network (AIN), under the auspices of the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President, and in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Ghana and TopDog Africa Limited.
The organisers are inviting governments, public sector agencies, development partners, private sector leaders, and creatives to attend the Accra launch and explore partnership opportunities.
