Ghanaian musician Fameye has unveiled a new alter ego he calls Antonio, signalling the start of what he describes as a fresh artistic era.
Speaking in an interview with TV3, Fameye revealed that Antonio will lead his upcoming wave of music releases. He explained that the character draws inspiration from his father’s career in law enforcement, reflecting the image of a police officer’s son, complete with a new look.
“There is something coming up, if you see my new look. My father is a policeman, so I’m beginning to look like the child of a police officer. This look is called Antonio, watch out for this character because it’s going to be crazy out here in Ghana,” he said.
Antonio, according to Fameye, will take over from “Peter,” another persona he introduced in 2023. While Peter helped shape his creative direction last year, Fameye believes Antonio carries a stronger, more spiritual force.
“Antonio is from the spirit. He comes from deep within me, and he takes over from Peter. So, watch out for him,” he added.

Fameye, born Peter Famiyeh Bozah, is known for hits such as Nothing I Get, Praise, Long Life, Songs of Peter, Mati, Very Soon and his latest with Stonebwoy titled Now and Never.
With Antonio now taking centre stage, fans can expect a new phase of experimentation and energy in his music journey.
