The National Communications Authority (NCA) has confirmed ongoing engagements with Multichoice Ghana over concerns regarding DSTV pricing in the country.
In a statement issued on Sunday, 7th September 2025, the regulator said it had received Multichoice Ghana’s response to its notice of intention to suspend their authorisation and request for details of their pricing model.
The NCA disclosed that Multichoice had accepted the directive from the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Sam George, for the establishment of a Stakeholder Committee to evaluate DSTV pricing.

The company has also assured that it will fully participate in the committee’s work and adhere to due process and Ghanaian laws.
The first meeting of the committee is scheduled for Monday, 8th September 2025. The Authority pledged to provide further updates in due course.
