The Children’s Support Fund, set up to provide long-term care for the children of those who died in the August 6 helicopter crash, has so far raised GH₵7,292,135 and US$20,000.
The amount reflects fresh contributions received between September 12 and 24, 2025.
An update from managers of the fund noted that both organisations and individuals have continued to donate.
Among the corporate donors are Risk Management Ltd., Federated Commodities, Willbeck Consult, Sida Global Logistics & Engineering Ltd., the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Private donations have also come in, including from Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, as well as Dr. Li & Chen Guo Wei.
Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, thanked all contributors for their generosity.
She noted that the money will go directly towards the education, healthcare, and overall welfare of the children left behind.
The fund further reminded the public that donations are still welcome.
Contributions could be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited (Stanbic Heights Branch) in cedis or dollars, as well as through cheques, bank drafts, and mobile money platforms.
The August 6 helicopter crash claimed the lives of eight Ghanaians five government officials and three officers from the Ghana Armed Forces, sparking an outpouring of public solidarity.
Since then, corporate bodies, state institutions, and individuals have continued to back the initiative to ensure the affected children receive the care and opportunities they need for the future.
