The Acting Minister for Defence, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has presented the findings of the investigation into the tragic August 6 helicopter crash to the National Security Council during a meeting held on Monday, November 10.
The incident that claimed the lives of eight distinguished individuals, including government ministers, officials, and crew members. Those who perished were:
- Dr Edward Omane Boamah, then Minister for Defence
- Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology
- Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator
- Dr Samuel Sarpong, Vice-Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
- Mr Samuel Aboagye, former parliamentary candidate
- Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
- Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampofo

The Acting Minister briefed the President on the committee’s findings, emphasising the thoroughness of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

While the details of the report were not disclosed during the meeting, authorities confirmed that the full report will be released to the public on Tuesday, November 11.
