A high-powered 15-member trade delegation from Ghana, led by the Buipe Wura and Vice President of the National House of Chiefs, Abdulai Jinapor II, will arrive in Kano, Nigeria, on November 24, 2025, for a landmark trade partnership agreement.
The delegation will witness the signing of a trade partnership agreement between the Northern Ghana-Kano Trade Partnership Development Center and the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KACCIMA) on November 25, 2025, aimed at boosting business and investment ties between Northern Ghana and Kano.
The delegation will meet with top officials, including the Governor of Kano, Emir of Kano, Mayor of Kano, and business leaders, to promote the partnership agreement.
They will also meet with the Nigerian Minister of Trade, the Ghana High Commission, and the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) in Abuja.
The visit coincides with the 46th KACCIMA International Trade Fair, themed "Empowering SMEs for Sustainable Development," which brings together business leaders, investors, and government representatives to showcase trade, industry, innovation, and investment opportunities.
The delegation includes prominent business leaders, such as Alhaji Alhassan Issahaku, Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Northern Ghana-Kano Trade and Partnership Development Center, and Ousse Binkoete Albert, Paramount Chief of Gaoua from Burkina Faso, and Osman Mubarik Abu, President/CEO of Northern Ghana-Kano Trade and Partnership Development Center, among other businessmen
The delegation is expected to return to Ghana on December 2, 2025, after a successful visit that is expected to strengthen trade ties between Ghana and Nigeria.
