The Volta Regional Communications Directorate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has honoured one of its most committed volunteer communicators, Mr Sedem Kofi Gorni, widely known as Minister Succeed, with a donation of GHC 5,000 and essential household supplies in recognition of his remarkable service to the party.
The donation, presented during a visit to his hometown of Klokpui, comprised bags of rice, bathing and washing soap, tins of fish, and cooking oil.
The items are intended to support his daily needs and acknowledge his dedication despite significant personal challenges.
Minister Succeed, who lives with a physical disability, has distinguished himself as one of the most consistent and influential serial callers in the Volta Region.
Despite mobility limitations, he contributes to radio discussions across several stations almost daily, articulating and defending the party’s perspectives with exceptional energy and clarity.
His consistency has earned him respect among party leadership, media hosts, and listeners across the region.
Led by the Regional Communications Officer, Kafui Agbleze and his Deputy, Del Bright, together with a number of Constituency Communications Officers, the delegation described the gesture as a token of appreciation for Mr Gorni’s unwavering commitment.
They emphasised that his disability has never diminished his ability to make meaningful contributions to national political discourse.
“His resilience and passion for the party’s communication agenda inspire many of our grassroots communicators,” Mr Agbleze noted during the presentation. “Recognising his efforts is not only necessary but long overdue.”
The Communications Directorate also extended appreciation to all serial callers and volunteer communicators across the region, acknowledging their often overlooked but vital role in shaping public opinion and strengthening democratic engagement.
According to Del Bright, the visit to Klokpui forms part of a broader pledge by the Volta NDC Communications Team to uplift and motivate party communicators, particularly those who work with limited resources yet continue to demonstrate exceptional loyalty and dedication.
